My First Visit in Baguio

This is my first ever visit in the summer capital of Philippines. After our Holy Week climb in Mt. Pulag, we stayed a day in Baguio, we first visit the Baguio Cathedral and the city’s famous parks like Minesview and People’s Park, and ate lunch at SM Baguio.

The feet that has climbed the Philippines’ highest mountain and would climb more mountains..

Lunch at Max's SM Baguio

Me at Minesview (dami kc tao dun sa view eh kaya sa gilid na lang ako nagpapicture)

The gay horse..lol!

The famous Beethoven

The Baguio Cathedral, saying thank you for we are all safe after the challenging trail of Mt. Pulag's Akiki Trail

Going down the stairs is really a burden for us since we take Akiki Trail going down and it’s hard for us to bend our knees. That’s why it almost takes us few minutes to reach the ground where people were looking us wondering why we walk like that.

Mt. Napulauan ‘04

Mt. Napulauan was my first farthest mountain that I was able to climb and my first Christmas that I did spent with my family since I have to travel from Quezon to Manila. I left Quezon on the 25th of Dec at around 11am and arrive in manila at 7pm. I pack my things and went to our meeting place (Kuya Emil’s house). We left Manila at 10pm and arrive in Banaue on 26th at 5am or 6am. We have our breakfast in the town proper and then after that look for a jeep that will take us to the jump off at Hungduan.

We stayed there just for a night and went down on Hapao trail. We stayed for another night with the barangay captain’s house. Then on our 3rd day (28th December) in Banaue, we travel going to Batad, where you can see the most beautiful terraces.

We stayed in Batad for 3 days and then went back to Banaue and home sweet home on the 31st of December. I almost run out of seat glad that I saw my cousin who works in Raymond Bus company.

Welcome to Banaue

Sunrise in Mt. Pulag

March 20, second day in Mt. Pulag in Benguet; we woke up at 3am and start trekking at around 4am to catch the sunrise at the summit of the mountain. Supposedly we have to wake up at 2:30 but since some we're drunk we’re not able to follow the IT. We all packed our things and get ready to assault the summit, we all rush to catch the sunrise and enjoy the scenic view. It was so cold but still we manage to reach the summit before the sun goes up…

Here are some of my pictures taken at the summit...

I just hope you can see our faces, with me is my buddy, Ate Janice..

This is actually a group pic, kaso naputol, phone lang kc gamit eh..anyways more pictures will be posted in my Friendster and Multiply account, so wait for it...

I was there!

These are the mountains I have conquered accordingly:

Mt. Banahaw - Laguna
Daraitan – Tanay Rizal
Mt. Sembrano – Pililia Rizal
Mt. Maculot – Cuenca Batangas
Mt. Romelo – Famy Laguna
Mt. Cristobal – Laguna
Mt. Arayat – Pampanga
Mt. Makiling – Laguna
Tarak Ridge – Bataan
Mt. Binangonan – Binangonan
Manabu – Batangas
Mt. Napulawan – Banaue Ifugao
Mt. Apo – Northern Cotabato
Mt. Gulugod Baboy – Mabini Batangas

I have also experienced spelunking in Donya Remedios Trinidad in Bulacan.

Since I started working I wasn’t able to climb, although the group still climbs but I choose not to join since they climb the same mountain so I’m not interested anymore. What I want is something new, since I’ve there already. Like Mt. Sembrano and Mt. Romelo, I’ve climb this thrice or more, twice in Mt. Arayat and Mt. Makiling.

Whew… This is our induction climb in Tarak Ridge in Bataan. This is the end of all the burdens of being a trainee, lol, but we really have fun during those training times… We have a great bonding time even some were not able to attend the induction for some personal reasons.

Unfortunately I’m not feeling well when we climb the Tarak Ridge, I have a fever but still I made it til we went down and have some good time til we finally go home..
