Pulong Pasig, Calauag Quezon

Temptation Island pose with Ate Nicole
Since Calauag is our nearby town in the province, and where the famous Pulong Pasig is, we never let ourselves be the last to visit it.

The sandbar is really long, however, there are people who really give a damn care to the place. They left an empty pack of chips on the sandbar! Ughh! There are people wants to visit a super nice place but can manage leave the place clean.

The island has no restroom and fresh water for you to wash, so if you plan to stay there overnight, prepare yourself to sleep without washing your body. Just bring a lot of wipes so you could at least feel fresh.

We went there in grouped so we saved a lot with our boat fee. Here is the list of our expenses:

Gas - 1,600 (unleaded, one way) Cubao - Calauag
Toll - (one way) SLEX - 214
       - (one way) Star - 25 + 53
Boat - 5,000 (two way, good for 20 pax)

How to get to Calauag, Quezon
By bus, take a DLTB going to Daet, fare is P375, then alight in Calauag. Take a tricycle going to the "C" where you can take a boat going to Pangahoy. From Pangahoy, ask a local who can take you to Pulong Pasig. Boat from Pangahoy to Pulong Pasig usually range to Php500.

Local Tour is Fun: Rediscover Manila and Quezon City

Rizal Park
Meet Gat. Jose Rizal: "He is our national hero," were her words upon telling her that it is the monument of Jose Rizal. It was just so annoying to see a building beside the monument so I just find an angle where it can't be seen :).
Calesa ride in Luneta
Our first calesa ride :) Yes, at this age, it is my first time to ride the calesa. It was fun but at the same time there is something in my heart that's hurting, hindi ba animal cruelty yun? Thou hindi naman sya pinapalo ni Kuyang Kutsero. If so, kindly forgive us, for the sake of experience lang po.

Chinese Garden
After meeting Gat. Jose Rizal, we entered the Chinese Garden, it has a P10 entrance fee but kids are free, not sure until what age. We didn't stayed there for a long time, crowded sya ng mga dating very young couples.
Quezon City Memorial Circle Underpass
Before heading home, we stopped at Quezon City Memorial Circle to have dinner.

It was a tiring day but we had fun.

Fortunate to Conquer Fortune Island

Fortune Island, Nasugbu Batangas
This little girl always make her Mommy proud.

Striked a pose at Fortune Island, this little girl is as cowboy as her mom :). Absence of a well-maintained restroom is not a problem, just find a place where digging of at least 6inches hole is possible and walah!! Haha!

Fortune Island is such a nice place, however, if you are the type of person na very particular sa restroom, I do not advise you to stay overnight here. Other than lack of a nice restroom, the place is very nice. The water is very clear, wag lang sana abused by leaving your trash sa island. Nobody else will clean it but the visitors.

Play even Harder at Lubang Island Mindoro

That moment when you wanted to escape from the stressful environment, the best thing to do is to travel. Travel with your friends and laugh with your hearts out, is the best remedy ever. I’m so lucky that I have friends whom I can share my beast mode moments at work (pity those who don’t have)

This is my first escapade for 2016 and I hope for more..

Lubang Island, Mindoro Occidental conquered!

I don’t have my little Sundae with this travel since she is in the province and no one can send her to me as my youngest sister has a ride. But I’m so glad I didn’t bring her because we do not have a smooth sailing to and from, especially when we are going back. Our 2hours travel became 5hours as the ferry cannot move fast due to the big waves. Among the 13, only 3 of us didn’t blow, everyone is almost throwing even their intestines :)

Anyways, we spend our day one at the resort, we spend the night with unlimited videoke as we cannot go swimming due to the big waves.

The following day, we went to Binacas, Punta Cave. And again due to the waves again, we were not able to go Hulagaan Falls. We stayed at Binacas Picnic Grove until lunch and head on to Onoda Trail. We end the day with a few shots of tuba.

Updated Travel Map

My Lakbayan grade is C+!

From C- to C+! I have visited one in Visayas! I know for sure I would be able to set foot in every part of the Philippines. I have to because I won't be able to go out of the country if I didn't haha! Because I made a promise that I have to see the beauty of the Philippines before going out. I have to do this in 3 years because I want to go Japan or Hong Kong on my Sundae's 7th birthday. (accepting donations as early as now! haha)

Boracay Getaway 2015

After more than a month, at last I got a chance to post this. It was a very short vacation, 3days 2nights only, well because it’s not yet end of school year and not a long weekend for me. It’s good thing pa rin naman because the place is not too crowded. You can move around the area very well.

It’s my first time at Bora and I was really really to the Nth level astonished seeing the place. It was really amazing! Even my Sundae always says “it’s amazing”! Glad she knows how to appreciate beautiful places. I remember her reaction seeing Kabigan Falls in Ilocos… she’s only 1 year then, she said Woow!

We didn’t get a tour package; we just stayed at the island walking around. Although we wanted to go to other islands, we just can’t because my mother is afraid of sailing.

If are planning to go to Boracay, it's more ideal to take Caticlan than Kalibo. Since it's our first time and I didn't read any blogs, and the deal is Manila-Kalibo, I don't have choice but to arrive in Kalibo. Anyways, if you take Kalibo, you have to travel by land for 2 more hours going to the Jetty Port. Barge travel would only take 15mins to reach the island. Then from the port another 10mins travel by land and you're there.

So behave while having her hair braids.

The famous sand castle.

CamSur Part 2: CWC

May 25, so it was our last day at Camsur. Last destination is the CWC Watersports Complex. From Sabang port, we took a jeep going to Goa where we took a minibus going to CWC. Upon arriving,  we first had our lunch.
Briefing before we start boarding
When I wear my helmet, I know it's a little loose, but I didn't dare go back to change it since it's too hot. So I fall in line now. It's my turn now, as I was riding the board, my helmet is starting to fall off my eyes that I can't see what is in front of me.
All aboard..
When I raise my head, it was too late, I'm in front of a ramp now and too late for me to avoid it and more dangerous if I let go as it's my face the might hit the ramp. So all I did was to go over the ramp, I was at the end of the ramp now, so I thought I'm already safe, when the cable was pulled again to continue, something really bad happened, I hit the ramp and broke my arm.

You know what, I really believe that this is my second life. That God saved me and to broke my arm is the least that HE can do to save me from even worst. You know it's only a split second that the cable may loose then pull the boarder harder. But in my case, I only realize after the accident happened, I feel that the time stopped and God is telling me to let go so I won't get hurt. But because I'm really determined to finish the lap, I didn't hear what He was telling me.

The sad face looking for me..maybe she knows something bad will happen to her mommy deary.
I was rushed to Mother Seton hospital. The staff of the CWC was there with me until they know that I'm good to go and be transferred to my family. I was given first aid and they cast my arm for safe travel.

See a closer look at the upper right side, see my broken elbow?
I stayed in our house in Quezon on the night of the 25th May before we go to Lucena City to look for specialist. I was admitted at Lucena Doctors and undergone open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF). The doctor said the operation will last for 2hours but according to my family it lasted for 4 and half hours. According to the doctor it took that long because my bone is not only dislocated, but has also some crushed parts.

This is after the operation, when I get back to my sense, I immediately look for my little girl.
This is how my arm was after the operation.
First cleaning, 2 days after the operation.
As of this writing, I have been into 5 sessions of theraphy so I could bend and straighten my arm fast and avoid faulty-handed.
