Fingerpainting: Weekend Bounding

Since I only got to visit my Sundae every two weeks, I make sure that I will have time to play with her. I don't schedule visits with my friends so my two-day stay will all be spent with her. Last weekend, (Feb 13-14, I really have a hard time to post but I make sure that at least 4 times a month I will be able to update this) this is what we did, finger paint!

She has been asking me to buy this since last month but I always forgot so I just brought something else, either a coloring book or a food she saw at the tvc. Since we got a chance to go to SM Lucena on Jan. 30, she reminds me to look for this.

At first the sales lady at National Bookstore don't know what finger paint is. She heads us to the watercolors. Since their we found none, Sundae settles at the water color. When we are about to pay the item, my brother saw the red box at the shelf at the back of the counter! Thank goodness! Happiness at it's finest!

My Girl on Her Moose Girl

From Disney to Moose Girl, for a change, but we are not totally saying goodbye to Disney. Take a closer look at her shoes, that’s Minnie Mouse. We are also starting to collect the Baby Alive dollies as part of growing up. Minnie and Mickey, Barney and Friends and Dora will always be her most loved of course.

Except from her leggings and dress, this is a more casual outfit when going to mall or in school activities.

Honestly speaking, I never had these toys during my childhood, that’s why we are trying to give all these to her. This is also the reason why I’m not planning to have another child. I want to give all the best to my Sundae.

I know that these things won’t be enough to make her happy, our presence would still matter to her. That is why, we never fail to call her everyday and visit her every month, but Daddy can’t make it due to a Monday to Saturday work and travelling to Quezon take about 7-8 hours. Daddy has just started to his new work so he can’t take a leave yet.

Long Distance with Sundae

Since March this year, we already sent Sundae to my parents in Lopez, Quezon. We were traumatized for the last nanny we got. She's from Bataan and was referred by my brother-in-law, he said this girl looks after her younger siblings, so she knows how to take care of our Sundae. She came on January 26, during that time, it was Daddy Dang's cousin, Ate Mica, who looks after our Sundae.

Sundae looks good then, she was very healthy. Ate Mica never fails to give her vitamins and eat at the right time. But she is about to leave also for Saudi that's why we need another nanny.

We told her everything she needs to do with our Sundae, Ate Mica is also guiding her. Until Ate Mica left, we always remind her what to do before we left the house for work. However, as days go by it's as if it is always her first day in the house. She let Sundae stay too close on the TV, she can't see it because she's busy texting.

I also notice that Sundae keeps on scratching her head. Then this time, Daddy asked her (nanny) if she has lice she never lied, she has. I look at her head and to my surprise! That is toooooo many! Too late for us that our Sundae got it as well!

She said she will go home on her mother's birthday, I never stopped her and that is also the time that we decided to send Sundae to my Nanay.

As of now, Sundae is already going to school as nursery again, but this time it's for real.

I was able to spent more time with her, however, I can't take care of her, I can't bathe her, carry her, everything that needs two arms. I can only help her with her lessons.

I left on June 23 after my 1 month leave, actually the doctor told me to rest for 2 months but, I feel I can go to work since I only have to do some calls and check account of our clients.

My last visit was July 25-29, treat her to Jollibee and bring her to SM Lucena with Nanay and her cousin Sam. We also met my elder brother and her family there.

We prefer to sent Sundae to my parents assured that she is doing well there than staying with and leaving her with a nanny that we are not sure how she was.

Almost two months since my last post huh, that's how busy am I?

Well anyway, I have my Sundae take a picture a Great Image courtesy of her pedia, I wish she smiles wider.  Photoshop make her skin fair..hehe..

She's now 1 year and 5 months (turning 6 on July 1st). Some words are now clear and she knows where to get her milk. She can distinguish dog and cat. Recently she know chicken (chicky as she call it). I can also hear her sings at the tune of I Love You by Barney, sings her alphabet (A B and D agad..=) count 1 2 3 on her fingers and toes without moving from fingers to fingers.

My Dancing Sundae

This is how we spend the weekend, dancing, singing and lots of kulitan. Sundae would dance whenever she hears a danceable songs, and hums whenever she hears a familiar song. Watch her as she dances The APL Song.

I remember when I was still a kid, during our Patron fiest, I always have a special number representing our zone.haha..And now, my Sundae I guess would be the same..Don't under estimate my special number, I earned a lot, the mayor, councilors, chairman and other visitors would throw money on the dance floor. hehe..If ever, I would be a proud stage mother..haha..

Cutted at Cuts 4 Tots in Trinoma on January 2, 2012. We'll just have it trim and let it grow long. As I don't want a short hair.

Cuts 4 Tots offers P295 for hair cut with shampoo and blow dry, but we didn't avail of the shampoo and blow dry since Sundae will surely have lots of movements that would make us all wet. If you want to avail of the certificate, you just have to add P200. We do not avail of the certificate as well since I can do it for her. :) I just get a souvenir of her 1st hair cutted.

My Sundae Turned One

After a year, my little Sundae turned one year old on the 1st day of 2012. I expected that among the 60 guests I invited, only half of them can attend. And so I'm right. Only our relatives and closed friends came. But still we had fun. I got a chance to see some of my cousins who are busy working.

It was celebrated at Jollibee Starmall, the party was ok but I was only disappointed with the loot bags, I ordered for the Jollitown loot bag, but they gave me a Barbie, which is not applicable for the boys. I just ignored it since it was the first day of the year and I don't want to get mad and spoil my day.

Sundae was in Quezon after in her baptism. Without my knowing, they were here in Manila on the 18th of November since my eldest brother went to report at their office since is about to sign another four month contract. When I called my sister-in-law (Ate Thessa) she told me to go out and fetch them down stair. I don't want to believe her, but I tried to go out and check on them, and to my surprise I saw my brother!

We went to Cavite on Nov. 19 to visit my sister-in-law's cousin and my Nanay's friend. We slept over and planned to go to Tagaytay the next day, Nov. 20.It was a great weekend!

Looking back, my Sundae is just a tiny, delicate baby. All she can do is cry, sleep and be fed. On her 1st month, she can widely open her eyes. She laughs with sounds on her 2nd month. On her 3rd month, she is no longer that delicate baby just like the day I first saw her. She can do lots of things now. She can lift her head now. On her 4th month, look at what she is doing, she sucks her toes. I remember, this is her first time to react whenever we have our meal. She look at us from the moment we put food on our spoon until we put it in our mouth. That's the time we started giving her some solid foods where her pedia do not wants us to do. Whenever she asked me if I started giving her solid foods, I said no.hehe..My Sundae started to sit with support on her 5th month and stand with support on the 6th month. She talks a lot! Sobrang kulit at likot.

I can't imagine how my Sundae grows so fast. When I'm staring at her pictures when she was just days old, one month, turn to two, and now she's on her 8th month.

She can now walk with the help of her walker. Talks too much - dada, tata, nana and more, which I can't understand. haha! But I'm trying. She watched Mickey Mouse seriously. When she's doing something and hears it's a shampoo commercial, she immediately turns her head to look at the TV. When I'm telling her she will not eat because she didn't finished her milk, she will shout at me as if she complains! (with matching tap on her walker). She can clap, and will dance when I sing or when she hears a music.

Yesterday, when I take the jeep to go to work, she wants to go with me, same as today.

Growing Sundae

Before my Sundae reaches here 7th month, she was able to hold finger food - biscuits, french fries, water stick. She gets mad when she can bite it anymore because she has eaten the part that is visible and she's holding a only small part. She will bite her hand and will cry if she didn't get any.

Today is my Sundae's 7th natal month. At her age, she already knows what she want. If she's holding things-toy or food, I must not get it from her or else she will cry, out loud, with tears. She can hold tightly and transfer it from one hand to another. I was really amaze of each development I saw in her. She also wants new toys, she often played her toys now. Made she's sick of it..hehe, that's why she gets Yuan's toys the other day.

She's starting to walk with Nanay's help, I'm super excited to see her walk alone.

On her 6th month, Sundae started to say consonants pa-pa-pa. She can distinguish Mickey Mouse on TV, she reacts when it's not Mickey's scene. She can crawl, sit without and stand with support, jumps when you let her stand on you lap. There are also times that I can hear her say mommy =).

She roll overs faster as compared on her 5th month. At 6months and 3 weeks, I guess already knows her routine, like when it's time for her cereals, I'm going to work and go out with her Daddy.

When she's asleep and it's about few minutes before I go to work, she'll wake up and will turn her head and look for me. Her Dad will carry her and we'll head over to the jeep terminal.

Sundae Tantrums

My Sundae is turning 7 months on August 1st, at her age, 6 months and 3 weeks, she already shows some tantrums. She cries without tears coming out just sounds, sometimes when she wants something that we don't allow her to hold, she will cry, out loud and with tears.

We are renting an apartment on the 3rd floor, if I'm going down for work, she must go with her Daddy and will send me at the terminal. In the afternoon, after my Nanay washed her, Daddy must bring him down and have a walk. That's their daily routine, since Daddy has no work since June.

Mymy is a gift from Ninang Vhel on her 6th month. I'm starting to collect dolls and other stuff toys, especially Mickey Mouse =) since it's my favorite I want her to like Mickey as much as I do and it's working. Every time she saw Mickey, she kicks as if wanting to grab him.

These are the things I bought from the GC that we got from our prize at MomCenter Photo blog and Family Photo. I bought a new mat for Sundae since she tore the mat I bought before I gave birth. She pulls it every time I wash her. And Nanay is so patient to put a dock tape on it.

Meet Dudae

Dudae: DUhat ni sunDAE

Dudae is Sundae's tree =) we will plant this when we go back to Lopez. In seven years, this little tree will give her duhat. Nanay put the seed in the plastic with soil and Daddy notice that it grew on 24th of June. Daddy transfer the little duhat in empty can of Sundae's milk and take care of Dudae everyday. One day Daddy notice that one of it's tiny stem was broken, the bird pecked it! Since then, Dudae will have to put inside the house and put out in the terrace every morning, you know photosynthesis.
