Sundae was in Quezon after in her baptism. Without my knowing, they were here in Manila on the 18th of November since my eldest brother went to report at their office since is about to sign another four month contract. When I called my sister-in-law (Ate Thessa) she told me to go out and fetch them down stair. I don't want to believe her, but I tried to go out and check on them, and to my surprise I saw my brother!

We went to Cavite on Nov. 19 to visit my sister-in-law's cousin and my Nanay's friend. We slept over and planned to go to Tagaytay the next day, Nov. 20.It was a great weekend!

Sundae's Holiday Getaway

This is our first visit at Kamay ni Jesus in Lucban, Quezon as a family. I been here once but I was still single then. This picture was taken on November 7, 2011 when it was declared as holiday to give way to the celebration of our Muslim brothers Eid'l Adha.

This is not the first time My Sundae went out of town. When she was four months old, she went in Bulacan and Batangas together with my Nanay. She has also been to Antipolo, and recently in Cavite and Tagaytay (picture will be posted soon).

Malunggay (moringa) for Expecting and Breastfeeding Moms

Have you heard about malunggay powder or malunggay flakes? Do you know how to use any of these?

As we all know malunggay is very useful for pregnant women to avoid anemia and other blood related problems. Lack of iron for expecting moms can cause blood related diseases not only to the mother but also with your baby and worst you might lost your baby.

One good source of iron is malunggay. Pero nakakasawa naman yata kung araw-araw na lang ay may dahon ng malunggay sa pagkain naten diba? That's why I suggest malunggay powder. You can use it in all dishes without affecting the presentation of the dish, dahil hindi naman visible yong powder sa food. Apart from that, you can also use malunggay powder as tea. It can be dissolved in water since it is powdered.

Malunggay powder only cost Php700 per kilo and it can last for 2 years if proper storage is practice. Avoid contamination and exposure in direct sunlight. Do not use wet spoon when scooping it and make sure that the jar you used to store the malunggay powder is tightly close.

On the other hand, for moms who loves to bake, you may also use malunggay flakes for your bread or cake. Actually you may use both depending on your preference. If you want malunggay very visible in the bread or cake, you may use flakes since it is cracked leaves only unlike powder, it can mixed with other powdered ingredients.

How we planned for Sundae's Baptism

I have fun planning for my Sundae's baptism. Choosing the ninongs and ninangs was never hard because they volunteered already. I listed everyone who said they wanted to be her ninong/ninang even if they can't make it on the day of the baptism. She has 12 ninangs and 9 ninongs. My sister-in-law is the primary ninang and my husband's childhood friend was the primary ninong.

Secondary ninang are my youngest sister-Angie, my sister-in-law-Lovely (2nd sibling of the family), my mountaineer friend-Anna, who wasn't there since she's in Singapore, my college friend-Chloe, my housemate-Vhel, my closest workmate-Ivy, my chidlhood friend-Maricar who wasn't there as well, she's in KSA, my husband's cousin, Aimee, my bestfriend-Roxan, and elementary friends Roxanne and Apple who weren't able to make since they are out of the country.

Secondary ninong are my husbands eldest brother-Mark Gil, cousins-Andreo, Ydezzer and Raul, college closest friend-Jherald and William, former workmate-Nelson and my cousin Chrison.

In church we paid P500 for the baptism regular schedule, and P20 per head of secondary ninong and ninang.

Reception was held at Chowking-Remar, along Aurora Blvd. in front of Gateway Mall. We ordered 50 Oriental Chicken Lauriat which is Php155 per plate for total of Php7,750 and a personalize Red Ribbon mocha cake for Php960.

Invitation was designed by my officemate, Anj, as well as the cake and souvenir. We spent, Php700 for the acrylic blank keychain, 100 pcs. Invitation printing cost Php6 at Picture City who has 10+3 promo. I printed 10 each design plus the promo total of 26. Invitation cost less since there is Facebook, I only gave invitation to the ninong and ninang for souvenir as well :).

Souvenir print cost Php150 each for an 8R photo paper size with 64 prints each page. That makes 64 keychains only. Total printing costs P510.

Marcella Sundae or my Sundae was baptized on October 30, 2011 at the Transfiguration of our Lord Parish. It was a success, after the long planning time! I've been longing to have her baptized since she was 4 months, but my eldest brother was not here so I waited for him to get back home. I wanted my brother to here since I want every member of my family to witness it. Thank God he made it on the 27th of October. He was expecting his flight home on the 2nd of November.

And now I'm planning for her 1st birthday on New Year - January 1. I'm open for suggestions-souvenirs, program, etc! Please post it here.

My Sundae is Starting to Stand Up

I can't take a picture of her facing at me since she will get the phone to me, so Daddy Dang took it. She can now stand on her own but still can't take a step. Sundae's two lower front teeth are starting to show up.

I'm so excited to buy her a sandals because she's starting to stand up and anticipates her walk. But I just read from Babycenter that it's not yet ok to wear her shoes. Because with barefoot it's easier for her to balance and her feet are free to feel the texture of the floor and most especially, it can help her strengthen  arches and leg muscle.

Looking back, my Sundae is just a tiny, delicate baby. All she can do is cry, sleep and be fed. On her 1st month, she can widely open her eyes. She laughs with sounds on her 2nd month. On her 3rd month, she is no longer that delicate baby just like the day I first saw her. She can do lots of things now. She can lift her head now. On her 4th month, look at what she is doing, she sucks her toes. I remember, this is her first time to react whenever we have our meal. She look at us from the moment we put food on our spoon until we put it in our mouth. That's the time we started giving her some solid foods where her pedia do not wants us to do. Whenever she asked me if I started giving her solid foods, I said no.hehe..My Sundae started to sit with support on her 5th month and stand with support on the 6th month. She talks a lot! Sobrang kulit at likot.

Mini Me

Marcella Sundae is equal to Maria Theresa. The only difference is her lips and eyelashes. Sundae has a thick eyelashes which I don't have. She got her lips from her dad. I have a brown eyes she had black. Generally, she is my mini me. Survey says lol 9 out of 10 people says she looks much of me than her dad and it flatters me, so much.

Sundae is growing too fast

I can't imagine how my Sundae grows so fast. When I'm staring at her pictures when she was just days old, one month, turn to two, and now she's on her 8th month.

She can now walk with the help of her walker. Talks too much - dada, tata, nana and more, which I can't understand. haha! But I'm trying. She watched Mickey Mouse seriously. When she's doing something and hears it's a shampoo commercial, she immediately turns her head to look at the TV. When I'm telling her she will not eat because she didn't finished her milk, she will shout at me as if she complains! (with matching tap on her walker). She can clap, and will dance when I sing or when she hears a music.

Yesterday, when I take the jeep to go to work, she wants to go with me, same as today.

Back to me

I don't know what to write, I just feel like blogging today. My Sundae went to Lopez (Quezon Province, our hometown, Canda Ibaba in particular) 2 days ago. Yes life is easy without her, I don't have to wake up in the evening to check on her, no need to wake up early to prepare her food before I start my routine to work. BUT, going home without her, her smile, talks, her face, everything about her, feels so blue.

Two days without her is like a year long. She'll be back on the 19th, 8 days is like a decade. =(

Growing Sundae

Before my Sundae reaches here 7th month, she was able to hold finger food - biscuits, french fries, water stick. She gets mad when she can bite it anymore because she has eaten the part that is visible and she's holding a only small part. She will bite her hand and will cry if she didn't get any.

Today is my Sundae's 7th natal month. At her age, she already knows what she want. If she's holding things-toy or food, I must not get it from her or else she will cry, out loud, with tears. She can hold tightly and transfer it from one hand to another. I was really amaze of each development I saw in her. She also wants new toys, she often played her toys now. Made she's sick of it..hehe, that's why she gets Yuan's toys the other day.

She's starting to walk with Nanay's help, I'm super excited to see her walk alone.

I shine!

There are times I'm strong, patient, understanding, often times I get angry. I can say words you not want to hear and acts you may not want to see. Not all times in my life I know how to control my anger, at times I got mad, I'm insensitive, I will say and act everything I want to. And later realize how stupid my act was.

And then, it would lead me to say sorry for what I've done. It's so stupid but at least I let go of everything I kept and it makes me feel well. I hope you too, understand me when I'm at this mood. Please extend your patient.

Sundae at her 6th month

Sundae at her 6mos and 4weeks

On her 6th month, Sundae started to say consonants pa-pa-pa. She can distinguish Mickey Mouse on TV, she reacts when it's not Mickey's scene. She can crawl, sit without and stand with support, jumps when you let her stand on you lap. There are also times that I can hear her say mommy =).

She roll overs faster as compared on her 5th month. At 6months and 3 weeks, I guess already knows her routine, like when it's time for her cereals, I'm going to work and go out with her Daddy.

When she's asleep and it's about few minutes before I go to work, she'll wake up and will turn her head and look for me. Her Dad will carry her and we'll head over to the jeep terminal.

Sundae Tantrums

My Sundae is turning 7 months on August 1st, at her age, 6 months and 3 weeks, she already shows some tantrums. She cries without tears coming out just sounds, sometimes when she wants something that we don't allow her to hold, she will cry, out loud and with tears.

We are renting an apartment on the 3rd floor, if I'm going down for work, she must go with her Daddy and will send me at the terminal. In the afternoon, after my Nanay washed her, Daddy must bring him down and have a walk. That's their daily routine, since Daddy has no work since June.

I can still smile, but, behind the smile is a crying me. But I'm strong, nobody would hear me cry, writing how I feel is enough to burst this. I can tolerate pain, to the highest level. haha!

Whoever can read this, don't worry, I'm still fine. I have GOD with me, HE will never, ever let me down. I just need to extend my patience...long..long..long..immeasurable, as it can.

Just keep it

There are some things that should not be shared to avoid issues. I' rather keep it myself than to hurt my love ones. I don't believe in what others said that you must not keep a secret so you would live a harmonious life and relation. There are words, especially from your past, that are better left unsaid. Past is called past so it must not be carried or talked in present. It must only serve as lesson or experience.

Things from the past may hurt, and if you really love them, you must avoid hurting them. Just live in the present and just keep your secret from the past. What is most important is you must be honest with them now, starting the day you commit your life to him.

Confidence is Coming Back

After losing my confidence while I'm pregnant; you know feeling ugly, bloated feet and everything that may happen to you while on the way, I'm beginning to regain the it again. Although some marks are still in my body, I don't care, the baby that made it is so cute and I can forget the marks every time I see my lovely Sundae.

I'm still on the process of losing my weight, but I can now wear some of my clothes that was stocked due to my pregnancy. Losing my weight is not a new challenge for me, I tried it before and I made it. I know I can do it again, it's not easy, though, but I can succeed on it. I won't stop until I finally regain my old shape.

July 3, Daddy's birthday and Sundae's 6th month post celebration.

It's Daddy's 28th birthday and Sundae's 6th month on July 1. July 1st is weekday and I also have commitment in office, it's Quantum X's 10th year anniversary, so we can't go out. Instead, we celebrated it on the 3rd. We went out for a dinner, of course at Daddy's favorite food chain-Jollibee. =) Daddy took the picture, he rarely wants to be taken picture. My Sundae likes the fries, even when she's only 5 months when we ate at Wendy's.

Mymy is a gift from Ninang Vhel on her 6th month. I'm starting to collect dolls and other stuff toys, especially Mickey Mouse =) since it's my favorite I want her to like Mickey as much as I do and it's working. Every time she saw Mickey, she kicks as if wanting to grab him.

These are the things I bought from the GC that we got from our prize at MomCenter Photo blog and Family Photo. I bought a new mat for Sundae since she tore the mat I bought before I gave birth. She pulls it every time I wash her. And Nanay is so patient to put a dock tape on it.

Meet Dudae

Dudae: DUhat ni sunDAE

Dudae is Sundae's tree =) we will plant this when we go back to Lopez. In seven years, this little tree will give her duhat. Nanay put the seed in the plastic with soil and Daddy notice that it grew on 24th of June. Daddy transfer the little duhat in empty can of Sundae's milk and take care of Dudae everyday. One day Daddy notice that one of it's tiny stem was broken, the bird pecked it! Since then, Dudae will have to put inside the house and put out in the terrace every morning, you know photosynthesis.

Bye S-26 Gold, hello Promil Gold! Sundae has changed her milk, can't believe she's half way to her one year old..how time flies. My breast milk is no longer enough for her, it suddenly producing less when she was at the midst of her 5th month. Although I pumped at least once a day. Roxan told me that it would really happen because it should be suck every two hours so it would continue to replenish. But since we do not have a refrigerator here in the office and I can't stock it for 6 hours in air conditioned room I only pump two hours before I went home.

Today is so Special

It's my husband's 28th birthday and Sundae's 6th month. Also have a good news, my Sundae will not be leaving tomorrow..yey!

Thank you Daddy for taking care of me and Sundae. For preparing our breakfast and my baon everyday. You know how much I love you despite all your tantrums..haha! You may not have provided us financially but you were never get tired of doing all the household even before you are still working. Taking care of us is more important, since I can provide the money for us. Please be patient, you will be able to work soon. We just have to pray and stick together.

Sundae, I may not be at your side always due to my work, but I want you to know that I'm doing this for you. That's why I'm trying to attend to you every night and every weekend, alone, without Nanay's help. I love you so much baby and be a good girl.

Living Away from My Sundae

Few days from now, on July 2 to be exact, I will send my Sundae to Quezon. She will stay with my Tatay and Nanay and will be back here with me in time she needs to visit her pedia. Although she was first checked up by Dra. Caña in Lopez before we come back here. I just don't want to transfer to another pedia. I'm fond of sending Sundae to Dra. Sandoval in World Citi Hospital. =)

Every time I think that Sundae will no longer be at my side when I'm sleeping and she will not be there when I'm going home, it really breaks my hurt and makes me cry until I fall asleep. =( She has to go with my Nanay since her dad and I can't attend to her. They have to go to Quezon because my youngest sister Angie is already working in Lucena and nobody would attend to my Tatay's needs especially this time, he has to worked in the farm.

It's really hard for me but I can't do anything, I have to work for her needs since Dang is still waiting for his cousin to report in the agency so he can start working, as a seaman. His contract in Eastwood ends last month. He can't attend to Sundae alone because she has lots of tantrums and only my Nanay can control her.hehe..even I can't stop her, so sad but that's the fact, although I breastfeed.

Anyways, I hope I have the strength to live away from my Sundae, in Gods grace.

Before and After

Photo on your left was taken 3 years ago while the one on right was just taken recently. A big difference in my shape huh? How I miss that. I wonder if I can get it back, I wish..I can lessen the foods I ate but I don't have time to exercise. It's also 3 years ago when I stop my outdoor activities. Before, I'm a member of a dragon boat team and a mountaineer. Today, I'm a full time employee and a part time mom. I spend the rest of my time with my daughter instead of having exercise. I don't regret having a daughter, I only regret the days when I forgot to control my appetite.hehe..
